The renovation has doubled the seating capacity to the original church. The architects balanced a desire for a more traditional worship configuration with an equally important respect for the existing 1960’s design motifs. The side wings of the existing roof were rebuilt, adding significant volume and more useful square footage. A glass block wall supports a stained glass crucifix; equally visible from the sanctuary and the day chapel on the other side.
