Li joined Heimsath Architects with a Masters in Historic Preservation from University of Texas and a Bachelor of Architecture from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China. Her interests include both new construction and historic preservation. Li has contributed to a number of the firm's school projects, including the Jaime Padron Elementary School. She gained additional experience with public sector and school projects while working with Burris/Wagnon Architects in Jackson, Mississippi. Li is a LEED certified professional and received Texas architectural license in 2017.
Li is especially interested in adaptive reuse, rehabilitation and renovation projects. In 2011, Li delivered a presentation at International Conference on Preventive Conservation at Nanjing, China featuring Heimsath Architects' restoration of the historic facade at University United Methodist Church in Austin. She spends her free time training her growing puppy.
