Principal and Managing Partner
Ben Heimsath is Principal of Heimsath Architects with overall management responsibilities. His specialty is in group facilitation, design and marketing. Ben's contributions include the development of many collaborative tools for design including the unique, all-day Design Retreat Workshop. Ben received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University, and his undergraduate degree from Columbia University, where he majored in architecture. Ben has served in numerous volunteer leadership roles. A former planning commissioner, he activiely participates in local planning and neighborhood improvement projects. Ben is currently a board member of I-Act, (Interfaith Action of Centeral Texas), an established non-profit providing multi-faith service and social programs.
Ben is a frequent contributor to the Heimsath Architects' blog. He shares his many insights about the design process and working with specific design challenges. Ben also writes a personal blog, Sacred Space, Holy Place, where he shares his observations about sacred environments in our modern world.
