A new home for the AMEN Food Pantry in La Grange, Texas is nearing completion. The conversion of an industrial building will provide over 3,000 s.f. of space for food shopping and storage. A front reception and office area will serve the needs of staff, volunteers, and clients.

AMEN has operated from a much smaller facility several blocks from the new location. With the completion of the new space, the food pantry will greatly expand its operating area and ability to serve a larger constituency.

The project has been supported by the City of La Grange by providing the location. Minarcik Construction is the general contractor. Renovations have been financed by donations and grant funding. Heimsath Architects initiated this project with a group visioning session with AMEN volunteers.  Since then, the firm has provided most of its services pro-bono in support of the organization.
