Though many of our lives have seen dramatic changes over the past few weeks, construction continues at our Belvedere Residence.  A recent wine and cheese site visit just before the shelter-in-place orders gave us a delightful walkthrough with the owners and general contractor.  The roof was being installed while we met and the following weeks have included the addition of gyp. board and trim on the interior, and the stone base at the exterior.

Intensive collaboration with
the owner and contractor has created a welcoming design to accommodate extended family with a designated guest wing and a free-standing guest cottage for visitors seeking sabbatical. Care was taken to make use of prevailing breezes from the southwest and to maximize views toward the greenbelt.  Even in construction, the owners are already appreciating the wonderful layout which will be enjoyed for years to come.
