With excitement and celebration, the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd held a Cornerstone and Commissioning Ceremony this morning in front of the new narthex addition. This last phase of construction culminates more than a decade and a half of planning, fundraising, and construction to finally realize the full vision of the congregation’s long-term master plan.
Heimsath Architects is proud to have been a partner in developing the plan and implementing each of the multi-phase programs. The cornerstone was blessed in a ceremony led by the Right Reverend Dena Harrison, Bishop Suffragan of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. The Reverend Morgan Allen, Rector of Good Shepherd, welcomed the congregation and noted the contributions of so many who made this day possible. The ceremony also included the commissioning of Reverend Kathy Pfister as Vicar of the new mission church of Good Shepherd on the Hill in East Austin.
