The new addition to the Parish Hall reflects the details and proportions of the historic church.

Congregation members, joined by former rectors assembled outside in front of the new addition. The Rt. Rev. Kathryn Ryan, Bishop Suffragan of the Diocese of Texas welcomed the community and began the service.

Building committee members and representatives from Gaeke Construction stood close by as Chairman Mel Glascock and Carol Helms cut the ribbon on the new Education Building porch. The Rev. Eric Hungerford, St. James’ Rector, invited everyone to process around the building with stops to share prayers of dedication at major points along the way. The service concluded in the historic church with several hymns by the St. James’ choir and a Eucharistic celebration.
