Calvary Episcopal School in Bastrop, Texas took a critical step forward in planning for its new location. Representatives of the school and the Calvary Episcopal Church assembled for a full-day Design Retreat Workshop at the Colony Amenity Center. Facilitated by Ben Heimsath, Kathryn Coffey, Eric MacInerney, and Li Tong, the Heimsath Architects team conducted a series of exercises to facilitate the exchange of ideas.
The group shared priorities and discussed a range of opportunities for the school in the coming years. The architects shared information regarding relocation to a new site that may not be immediately apparent. A beginning program for the school was used to consider how best to develop on a new site. The afternoon brainstorm session resulted in a strong direction. The architects will now work to develop the concept as the basis for the overall master plan.
Heimsath Architects is active working with groups engaging in master planning for new or existing sites.
