The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd project has received recognition from two prestigious awards programs. The recently completed project included the renovation of the existing nave and the addition of a new narthex and bell tower. The completion marks the congregation’s final phase working with Heimsath Architects on a 15-year multi-phased program that started with an initial master plan.

The 2017 Solomon Award recognizes the outstanding work of construction in matching a 50-year old structure with compatible materials and details. White Construction worked with the congregation and Heimsath Architects in a partnering relationship during pre-construction. The Solomon Award is a national program recognizing outstanding religious architecture.

The Associated Builders and Contractors Central Texas Chapter recognized Good Shepherd in its annual awards program honoring the year’s most outstanding construction projects.  Good Shepherd won for the outstanding project of the year in the $10-$25 million category. Eric MacInerney, who has served as project manager/project architect for all phases of the church's program attended the annual awards banquet joining the staff of White Construction in receiving the honor.
