It's the passing of an era. Metz Elementary, an honored institution serving East Austin for over a century will be part of AISD's school consolidation. To recognize and celebrate the school's remarkable history, we're supporting the Metz Legacy Project. This semester-long project will match current students with expert writers and artists to create publications and events to memorialize the Metz experience. 
Heimsath Architects has a decades-long connection to Metz. We designed the campus in the 1990's and Ben's wife, Sandi Heimsath, has been a teacher at Metz for almost 20 years.
