New photos from St. John’s Episcopal Church in Tallahassee show more important elements of the nearly completed historic preservation and renovations project. The memorial wall in the renovated Graham Lounge features a magnificent commissioned painting by local artist, Ron Ybedra. Ron was recently featured in the Tallahassee Magazine.
In addition to architectural services, Heimsath Architects provided commissioning for the liturgical arts program. The Tree of Life canvass is the first of two art pieces by Ron Ybedra. The other work is a huge triptych soon to be installed in the renovated Alfriend Hall.
Back-lighting for the existing stained glass in the renovated tower is now fully installed. This and other update photos are courtesy of building committee chair, Charles Redding.
Heimsath Architects' master plan initiated the multi-faceted preservation and renovations program. Heimsath Architects has been joined by local associates, Gilchrist, Ross, and Crowe.
The Church has continued to occupy the campus through all the construction. We extend our congratulations to the St. John’s family as they near the final completion.
