Woodlawn Steeple Featured in Year-End Postcard

Season's Greetings, Merry Christmas, & Happy New Year! 

Our annual Christmas - New Year's card has been released. This year features the distinctive steeple for Woodlawn Baptist Church in Austin. Heimsath Architects worked with the Woodlawn congregation to complete a highly regarded master plan in 2009. The steeple and sanctuary are actually the first phase of construction, completed in 2012. The latest phase, a new gathering space christened the "Connection Center," along with extensive renovation work was dedicated in 2018.  After nearly a decade of association with the Woodlawn congregation, we honor the community with this fitting image.

Heimsath Architects' involvement was crucial in helping Woodlawn obtain a rare City of Austin height variance for the project.  This is a good example of the creative approach we take to the permitting and regulatory process that can be extremely confusing and may even imperil a church project.
