St. Elizabeth Catholic University Parish - Lubbock, Texas

Heimsath Architects, in joint-venture with the Lubbock office of MWM Architects, led the team for St. Elizabeth's overall master plan and worship space design. The new church building is many times larger than the old chapel, and has allowed the parish to expand its ministry to students and faculty on the nearby Texas Tech campus. The Spanish Renaissance façade was developed from off-the-shelf masonry pieces, yet faithfully captures the spirit of the traditional architecture that is common to older buildings and churches in the surrounding area.
