Preservation / Adaptive Reuse

Successful preservation is not solely about architecture. Successful preservation requires thoughtful application of the Secretary of the Interior’s Guidelines and other local standards. It also involves the people for whom a locality, building, or event is meaningful and is worthy of passing on to future generations.

We draw upon our deep understanding of architectural history, technology, best practices, and established preservation guidelines. We also engage each owner and community to devise ways through restoration, renovation and sometimes additions, to adapt historic and older structures to meet modern needs.
