Master Planning

Located in an established neighborhood in Victoria, Texas, Trinity Episcopal Church and Trinity Episcopal School together embarked on a journey to carefully study their existing buildings and explore ways to improve their individual and shared facilities together. This commitment to shared process led the Space Committee, consisting of both church and school representatives, to hire Heimsath Architects to begin a coordinated and collaborative master planning process.

The full vision developed in the master plan maximizes the current properties and existing structures. Renovations and some additions will provide needed improvements to spaces for worship, fellowship, and recreation. Construction of new, two-story additions will provide expanded classrooms and meeting rooms for both the Church and School. A new building on North Glass Street will replace the existing Youth House to provide additional rooms for children’s ministry and other uses. Careful placement of some additional parking and landscape improvements gives the Church and School the potential to more than double their total square footage of useful space. This is accomplished while still maintaining the scale and open space connections within the established neighborhood.
