The Church of Christ in Seven Points, Texas presents another version of the minimalist definition of church. Like many Bible Churches, this congregation is settled in an otherwise indistinct building. From the shape and proportion of this structure, it looks like this was a convenience store before its current use. The name isn’t the only element that defines the congregation; the tall thin steeple is added on top for good measure.

Though the stretched proportions may resemble some forward elements in modernist designs, this church isn’t trying to be avant-garde. The composition is more likely to be a convenient placement of lettering and a pre-made steeple around an existing front door.
